DETAILS

We are proud to introduce the seven changemakers we’ll be honoring at this year’s Our Voices, Our Future: A Holiday Call to Action — a joyful celebration of community, youth creativity, and courageous leadership. These individuals embody our 2025 program theme: Lizzie Belvin-Flowers – Educator. Community Advocate. A lifelong champion of young people, Lizzie’s leadership in education continues to uplift families across Union County. Earl J. Graves – Police Director, City of Elizabeth. With over 30 years in law enforcement, Director Graves is the first African American Police Director in Elizabeth history, committed to justice, community outreach, and transformational leadership. Manuel R. Grova, Jr – Councilman At-Large, City of Elizabeth. A lifelong resident and public servant, Manny has dedicated decades to representing Elizabeth’s people — both in city government and through grassroots care. Pierre Coleman – Film Producer. Sundance Institute Fellow. His debut feature film RICKY premiered at the 2025 Sundance Film Festival and will hit theaters soon! Pierre uses film to challenge, inspire, and elevate underrepresented stories. Crystal Dickinson – Broadway Actress. Educator. From the Broadway stage to the classroom, Crystal has used her artistry and voice to shape culture and cultivate future storytellers. Cristal Melara – Writer. Filmmaker. 2025 EYTE member. A published poet, award-winning audio producer, and aspiring nurse, Cris embodies the power of empathy through art and care. Renee Gomez – Performer. Activist. EYTE member. An EYTE member, actor, and community leader, Renee continues to use her voice on stage and in conversation to uplift Elizabeth’s stories.
